Exciting newcomer SK has dropped her energetic and unique new track, which plucks a variety of influences from a multitude of genres: the percussive bass of funk, the powerful drums of neo-soul, the delicate extended chords of jazz. She explains that the tune “is the age-old tale of wanting something or in this case, someone, you can’t have. I wrote this song about a situation one of my girls was going through and I found her story so relatable because we’ve all been there or thereabouts at one time or another.” Along with her band, The Kings, SK has been developing her sound over the last few years and is finally gearing up to release her debut EP, on which ‘Thrill’ will be the lead single. -Dan Peeke
